Personalized Postoperative Support

Steady support, at every stage.

Recovery is personal. Familiar surroundings, consistent support and room to do things at your own pace can make daily life feel more comfortable while you heal.

This offering grew from Amelia Hanley’s hands-on experience supporting clients through extended postoperative recovery, including several weeks of continuous care following major spinal surgery. As recovery progressed, support shifted from intensive around-the-clock assistance toward greater independence.

That experience informs an individualized approach grounded in dignity, comfort and continuity — with clear communication between clients and their authorized support networks.

How We Support Recovery

Practical care. Thoughtful attention.

Non-medical assistance shaped around your routines, your home and the guidance you receive from your healthcare professionals.

Daily Living Assistance

Respectful help with mobility, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, meal preparation, hydration and everyday household tasks, within the non-medical service plan.

Medication Reminders & Organization

Scheduled reminders and logs of prescribed timing and client-reported responses, with concerns shared with the appropriate healthcare professional. Assistance with client self-administration only when legally permitted; no medication administration or clinical medication management.

Recovery & Symptom Tracking

Daily documentation of client-reported pain levels and symptoms, sleep, meals, hydration, mobility, bowel movements and medication timing. Records support communication, not clinical assessment or diagnosis.

Overnight & Extended Care

Daytime support, overnight shifts, extended recovery assignments and coordinated 24-hour coverage arrangements based on individual needs, safe staffing and caregiver availability.

Physical Therapy Routine Support

Encouragement and non-clinical assistance with prescribed home exercise routines, mobility recommendations and appointments, consistent with instructions from licensed professionals. We do not provide physical therapy.

Care Team Coordination

Organizing caregiver schedules, shared documentation and shift handoffs, and supporting communication between the client, authorized family members, caregivers and healthcare professionals.

Illuminate Memory provides non-medical home care, not skilled nursing, medical treatment, diagnosis, medication administration or physical therapy. Medical questions, changes in symptoms and treatment decisions belong with your licensed healthcare professionals.

A More Organized Recovery

Thoughtful care, carefully documented.

Through her experience supporting clients after major surgery, Amelia developed structured recovery tracking templates that keep the ordinary details of care in one place.

  • Daily recovery and client-reported symptom records
  • Medication reminder and timing logs
  • Sleep and overnight activity tracking
  • Nutrition and hydration records
  • Mobility and prescribed exercise tracking
  • Caregiver shift reports and handoffs
  • Organized records for appointments and recovery follow-ups

These records help clients and authorized caregivers maintain continuity, notice changes and communicate useful information to their clinical team. Documentation records observations and client reports; it does not replace medical advice or clinical monitoring.

Flexible Care & Scheduling

Support that adapts as you heal.

Daytime Recovery Care

Hands-on assistance with daily routines, meals, movement and household activities.

Overnight & Extended Recovery Care

Support through the night, assistance with nighttime routines and extended coverage when appropriate.

Care Planning & Team Coordination

Help organizing multiple caregivers, schedules, documentation and transitions as recovery needs change.

Arrangements can evolve from intensive support to shorter visits as you become more independent. All coverage is subject to caregiver availability, safe staffing and individual needs; 24-hour coverage is a coordinated arrangement, not a guarantee.
